EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSFORMATION

Lasting Organizational Change Begins Within.

We help senior leadership teams address the underlying emotional resistance and longstanding patterns that influence how leaders communicate, collaborate, and lead. As leadership improves, healthier workplace cultures and stronger business performance can follow.

THE TRANSFORMATION WE CREATE

Empowering Leaders. Strengthening Organizations. Enriching Lives.

For CEOs, founders, boards, and senior leaders, meaningful transformation begins by identifying and releasing deeply rooted patterns of resistance that can interfere with aligning with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Some of these patterns develop early in life and may go unnoticed, even as they influence communication, decisions, and relationships professionally and outside of the workplace.

Through greater awareness and new, more constructive patterns, leaders can experience increased satisfaction, peace of mind, and fulfillment while creating the personal and professional lives they envision. This growth can also strengthen relationships and collaboration among executive leaders and their directors, managers, and work teams.

The goal is a healthier, more engaged workplace with stronger leadership, greater employee satisfaction, improved productivity, and better retention. Together, these improvements strengthen organizational performance and help create the conditions for sustainable growth, increased profitability, and lasting prosperity.

Our approach combines deep personal transformation, practical organizational strategies, and continued support to help these changes become lasting improvements in leadership, workplace culture, and organizational performance.

OUR THINKING

Our Philosophy

✧

People shape the culture. Leadership shapes the experience.

Organizations do not change simply because new policies are introduced or leaders learn another management technique. Meaningful change begins with the people influencing the workplace every day.

Even accomplished executives bring deeply established beliefs, emotional responses, and behavioral patterns into their work. Some originated in childhood and may still influence how a leader reacts to criticism, conflict, authority, responsibility, and trust.

✦

Even experienced leaders can struggle to put what they know into practice, especially when under pressure.

We help executives recognize and work through the resistance that can stand between the two.

As leadership becomes more confident, supportive, and emotionally aware, the organization gains the opportunity to improve communication, strengthen collaboration, and create an environment where people genuinely enjoy working together and feel respected, valued, and empowered.

OUR METHOD

Our Approach

✧

Personal transformation. Practical organizational change.

We begin with the CEO and senior leadership team, working collectively while supporting the individual needs of each executive. The objective is to address deeper patterns of resistance and translate that development into everyday leadership practices.

01

Understand

Explore leadership challenges, workplace dynamics, mission, values, and patterns that repeatedly undermine progress.

02

Transform

Use facilitated group training, individual executive sessions, and breakout experiences to work through emotional resistance and strengthen trust.

03

Apply

Carry changes into decisions, communication, conflict resolution, management approaches, and employee relationships.

04

Sustain

Continue development through structured follow-up, progress reviews, and optional executive advisory throughout and beyond a 12-month partnership.

Our distinguishing focus

Leaders can recognize and work through longstanding patterns, including those rooted in earlier life experiences. At the same time, the leadership team develops more constructive ways of working together. This is business-focused organizational development, not psychotherapy services.

How we evaluate progress

We establish appropriate, measurable goals together at the beginning of each engagement. These might include improving leadership-team communication, increasing employee engagement, reducing avoidable turnover, or strengthening collaboration and management practices.

1. Establish a baseline

Review existing engagement results, turnover trends, leadership feedback, or other relevant metrics.

2. Agree on goals

Select a few relevant indicators, set realistic objectives, and agree on how progress will be reviewed.

3. Review over 12 months

Check development through leadership feedback, employee surveys, operating indicators, and periodic progress conversations.

Results depend on many factors, and improvements in revenue, retention, or other metrics are objectives, not guaranteed outcomes.

Dagmar Decker, M.S.

Founder & CEO, The Empowered Org

Dagmar Decker brings a distinctive combination of international executive leadership, extensive human resources expertise, and a deep understanding of human behavior in her work with individuals and organizations.

As a former Vice President of Human Resources and CEO of an international human resources consulting company, Dagmar understands firsthand the complexities of leading organizations, navigating challenging decisions, and balancing business performance with the well-being of the people who make success possible. She has also worked extensively with boards of directors and served as a board member herself, bringing an understanding of governance and executive decision-making from both perspectives.

With 16 years of experience in human resources and senior leadership, Dagmar has served on executive leadership teams, providing strategic direction and oversight across the full spectrum of human resources operations. From corporate strategy, policy development, and compensation and benefits to employee relations, training, workplace investigations, critical incident response, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), and successful international expatriate programs, her work has touched nearly every dimension of organizational life. This breadth of experience gives Dagmar a comprehensive understanding of how leadership decisions, organizational systems, workplace culture, and human behavior influence an organization's success.

Dagmar also brings 18 years of experience as a psychotherapist, working extensively with emotional and behavioral patterns, addictions, compulsive behaviors, personality disorders, and a broad range of mental health conditions. This clinical background provides valuable insight into the deeply rooted patterns that can influence how individuals think, communicate, make decisions, and relate to others, both professionally and personally.

Her experience also extends into professional education and public speaking, where she has presented across various platforms, delivering presentations that qualified for continuing education and professional development credits.

Her professional qualifications included the Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) designations. These formal professional credentials were earned through rigorous qualification processes involving extensive education and training, documented professional experience, supervised practice, examinations, and competency evaluations. They reflect the depth of her professional preparation and specialized expertise.

Dagmar is also the author of the forthcoming book Behind the Smile, which explores borderline, narcissistic, and antisocial personality disorders, their impact on relationships, and how recognizable patterns of behavior can recur in personal relationships and professional workplace environments.

Today, through The Empowered Org, Dagmar brings together her executive leadership experience and understanding of human behavior in a transformational approach that reaches beyond traditional leadership development.

Dagmar helps leaders recognize and release deeply rooted patterns of resistance. As leaders develop more constructive ways of thinking, communicating, and relating to others, they can strengthen their effectiveness and create the foundation for healthier organizational cultures, stronger workplace relationships, improved performance, and sustainable business success.

At the heart of Dagmar's work is the understanding that meaningful organizational transformation begins with its leaders. When leaders experience greater freedom from limiting patterns, they open the door to new possibilities for themselves, for the people they lead, and for the organizations they serve.
